Interior painting

Rooms, trim, doors, and cabinetry grade finishes. Occupied homes get protected floors and furnishings, dust control, and tidy daily wrap up. In homes built before 1978, existing coatings and work that disturbs painted surfaces need to be considered before the scope is agreed.

Exterior painting

Siding, trim, and entryways on older New England exteriors. Preparation, washing, scraping, sanding, and priming, is where exterior jobs are won or lost, and where we spend the time.

Cabinet and detail painting

Cabinet refinishing and fine finish work where brush quality shows.

Cost and timing factors

Painting cost moves with surface condition, preparation needs, color changes, access (height, scaffolding), and the level of finish. Residential projects can start with our instant planning estimate: a preliminary, nonbinding range from property records and standard assumptions. Final pricing follows photo review or an inspection at the property.

Asked and answered

What owners ask before they call.

Make your painting enquiry easier to assess
Which surfaces can I include?

Painting can cover individual rooms, the exterior or a combined scope.

Tell us which walls, ceilings, doors, siding and trim you want included so the proposal can distinguish the surfaces clearly.

What preparation will the property need?

Preparation depends on what is already on the surface.

Peeling paint, damaged woodwork and recurring stains need attention before a new finish is applied. Show us those areas as well as the wider room or exterior so repairs and preparation can be discussed together.

What should I share about an older home?

Start with the year built and any records about the existing coatings.

In a home built before 1978, lead paint may affect how the work is planned. Share any testing or previous work records so the appropriate scope can be discussed.

How should I plan for an occupied property?

An occupied home needs an access discussion.

Tell us which rooms must remain available, where furniture can be moved and how people use the space. Those details help shape the work area and the arrangements needed before painting begins.

What does a preliminary estimate include?

The calculator gives you a planning range, not a final quote.

It uses the property details you confirm and the painting options you select. Final pricing depends on the actual preparation, repairs, surfaces, access and finish, which are reviewed before the scope is agreed.

What if I have a larger painting package?

For a larger trade package, send the specification, relevant drawings and the boundaries of the painting work.

Tell us who coordinates adjoining repairs and other trades.
